Refund Policy — BusinessOS AI
DRAFT — NOT LEGAL ADVICE. Refund terms are a business decision you need to make deliberately, not something an AI should decide for you. This draft describes a reasonable, common default so there's a starting point — review and adjust the actual policy, then have a lawyer confirm it's consistent with Zimbabwean consumer protection law (and Paynow's own merchant agreement, which may impose its own constraints).

How billing works
BusinessOS AI's Pro plan is billed one period at a time through Paynow — there's no automatic recurring charge to a stored card. You (or whoever manages billing for your business) pay for each period as it comes up.
Trial period
New businesses get a 3-day free trial with no payment required. If you don't pay before the trial ends, your account moves to read-only mode — your data stays intact and viewable, but you can't create or edit records until you pay. No charge happens automatically at the end of the trial.
Refunds
LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED / business decision needed. A reasonable starting
position, common for low-cost monthly SaaS:
- Payments for the current billing period are generally non-refundable once the period has started, since access was granted for that period.
- If you were charged in error (e.g., a duplicate payment, or a technical fault on our side), contact us and we'll investigate and refund if confirmed.
- Refunds, where granted, are issued back through Paynow to the original payment method, subject to Paynow's own processing times and any fees they impose that are outside our control.

Zimbabwean consumer protection
LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED: this policy has not been checked against Zimbabwean
consumer protection legislation. If BusinessOS AI ever serves customers in
other jurisdictions with statutory cooling-off periods or mandatory refund
rights (e.g., certain EU/UK consumer protections), this document needs
jurisdiction-specific carve-outs added before it's accurate for those users.
